SABLE: Sisters Achieving Beyond Limited Expectations
Are you a motivated female in high school? Are you interested in receiving valuable information regarding SAT prep, college admissions, and financial aid? Are you interested in meeting young people like yourself? If you answered YES, please join the women of SABLE the second Saturday of each month starting October 13, 2001, for exciting workshops!!! The workshops will be held at Winfield Elementary School's Recreation Center, 8300 Carlson Lane in Randallstown from 11 AM to 1 PM. There is no charge for this program. PTA Fall Workshop on Minority Achievement - Closing the Achievement Gap
Dr. Barbara Dezmon of BCPS Office of Equity and Assurance will discuss BCPS and the State Department of Education's plans to close the achievement gap. Registration for the workshop is from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. A reception will be held from 6 PM to 7 PM. The PTA Council General Meeting is from 7PM to 7:15 PM. The first Workshop Session is from 7:20 PM to 8:20 PM and the second Workshop Session is from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. The cost is $6 per person, but most local units reimburse those who attent.
