PTA Council Nominations 2008

2008 is an election year for the PTA Council of Baltimore County, Inc. Nominations are being accepted for all PTA Council offices for the two-year term of office beginning July 1, 2008 (treasurer assumes duties on August 1, 2008). Officers are eligible to serve two consecutive two-year terms.

All nominees must submit the two-page PTA Council Nomination Form, found in this issue of the Bulletin or at www.bcptacouncil.org . Candidates for executive officer positions must have served at least one full year as a local PTA president or one full year on the PTA Council Board of Directors. Candidates for Area Vice President (AVP) positions should reside in the cluster they represent.

Nomination Forms must be postmarked no later than February 13, 2008 (refer to the form for details). Following that date, the nominating committee selects and proposes a slate of officers that will be announced at the March 13, 2008 PTA Council General Meeting. Additional nominations may be made from the floor if a completed Nomination Form is presented when placing the name in nomination. Elections will be held at the April 24, 2008 PTA Council General Meeting. An election committee will be appointed by the Council President when an office is contested.
